Our Story
Welcome to Bandit 2 Charters! Bandit 2 is owned and operated by Captain Peter Nied. The Captain has over 30 years experience on Lake Michigan and is a full-time U.S.C.G. licensed Captain.
Aboard the Bandit 2 we fish out of Waukegan harbor, Illinois (click here for directions). We've fished here over the years because of two reasons: amount of fish and distance to travel in getting to the fish. Both are key in optimizing your time aboard the Bandit 2. It's our job to provide you with the best fishing experience once on board.
As a service we will provide the opportunity to buy your fishing licenses on the boat, all of the fishing equipment, necessary safety equipment and the icing of your catch. For a small fee you'll have the choice of having the fish cleaned three ways: whole, smoked or fileted.
We provide private charters to families, corporate outings, friends, etc. Which means if you reserve the date, the boat is yours exclusively.
Our website is designed to help explain the process of how we catch fish, what to expect and how to plan for the day of your trip. Also, to clearly set expectations of what to expect so that there are no surprises the day of the trip..
